![]() ![]() * Note some people asked why there was traffic on the Public NIC during the Direct I/O during a copy within a VM as shown here. Essentially the file being copied in the VM was from a share hosted on the Hyper-V server which was connected to via the public IP address of the Hyper-V server. Thus the file was sent out over the public IP address of the Hyper-V server, came into the VM via the VMSwitch NIC then written locally which was actually a VHD connected via iSCSI. Easy :-) |
